I’m Clarissa. I decided to start M³ because I too am a mother trying to get my finances in order for myself, as well as managing my mental health as a mother all while keeping my sanity and my identity as Clarissa. I knew that there were more moms out there like me who do not have the resources or the knowledge to find a better way of living. I fell in love with getting my finances together as I reached each goal and saw how easy it was as long as I remained disciplined and consistent. I knew all moms needed resources, guidance, and to feel like they were not alone.
Clarissa Bartlett is a millennial mom who fell in love with self-improvement, balancing motherhood and financial literacy and made a decision to change her habits and work towards personal growth. The goal is to help moms become more organized with day to day task, to become better at managing their budget, and finding their passion, as well as learning the importance of self-care, to live life with intention. I hope my journey inspires other millennial mom’s to become their best selves, not just try to look the part but to be genuinely happy. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Norfolk State University. Throughout my career I have worked with parents from impoverished neighborhoods and I noticed there was a pattern where a lot of single moms were living paycheck to paycheck, stressed about not being able to jungle everything that life throws at them and feeling like they have no support. So I decided to tell my story and build a community in order to change the narrative of other moms.
